Reading and a Snippet

 Hi All!

In addition to working on my own books, I have also been reading quite a bit lately. One of my favorite books I've read recently (I just finished it in the wee hours of the morning today) is The Drift by Casie Aufenthie. I enjoyed the world she built, and the characters, especially Tristan and Samara. For anyone who enjoys a good read with decent amount of action, intrigue, and romance, check it out!

I also wanted to share with you a snippet from my upcoming Urban Fantasy release: Visions: Broken Minds book 2. A scene between Brennan and Jade that I absolutely love.

Let me know what you think!

Happy Reading everyone!

Social Media trouble plus Update

Hi Everyone!

So, I'll get right into it: Facebook suspended my account. I'm not entirely certain why, and I did request a review that may or may not be happening, but for the last couple weeks I have not been able to access my account. It is frustrating to me, partially because I was planning to use it as part of my marketing strategy moving forward. If the review does go my way, I'm back in business. If not, I may need to start from scratch and rebuild my platform. If you're interested in following me on social media right now, I am on Twitter: @AdrianneLemke You can also get updates on my website: AdriLemke.com or here on my blog, which I will attempt to utilize more moving forward.

Moving on to bigger, better things: Visions: Broken Minds book 2 will be coming soon! It is well on it's way to being proofread, and my cover designer is booked to design my cover in March, so I hope to have it ready by late spring/early summer. I'm excited to share the continuation of Brennan's story with everyone. As a reminder, Broken Minds is a series that follows after my Earthshaker series, so if you want to make sure you know the whole story, start with Tracker: Earthshaker book one. If you have already read the series, great! Please consider leaving a review on Goodreads and/or Amazon, it would be greatly appreciated!

And, without further ado: here is the back cover description for Visions:

Devon’s nightmares are getting worse.
Every night he witnesses the pain and hears the screams of people he can never reach. His only consolation is that the dreams don’t follow him once he’s awake.
That changes when he confronts a murderer and has a vision that shakes him to the core: a shadow of a man who seems able to speak to him through the ether. Suddenly, his visions take a turn.
He sees a man who can conjure fire and knows: he needs his help.
Brennan, still healing from the fire that nearly destroyed his family, is apprehensive when he receives the call from Devon. But he can't bring himself to refuse his plea for help.
Especially when they discover the truth behind Devon's terrifying new visions:
Kindred has come out of hiding. And he has his eyes set on the seer.

I would love to hear what you think! So feel free to connect with me either here or on Twitter, and I will update as soon as I learn my fate on Facebook.

Happy Reading everyone!

News and Updates

 Hi everyone!

I just wanted to send out a general update on some of my plans for the near future:

My next book: Visions: Broken Minds book 2 is well underway. My editor currently has it for the second time, and I hope to be getting it back shortly. Then it is a matter of proofing and cover design before it should be ready to share! Getting back into Brennan's story was fun. There are plenty of new characters introduced, and there will also be some familiar characters returning as they work toward defeating Kindred and helping each other learn how to control their powers.

Broken Minds book 1 Available on Amazon

I have also gotten a start on Patient Zero book 3, so far untitled. Looking forward to delving back into Zero's world a bit more deeply as I wrap up my work on Visions. Zero and her friends have their work cut out for them in book 3, as they push harder to find answers about the cause of the outbreak, and how they can help to end it.

Patient Zero book 1 Available on Amazon

Patient Zero book 2 Available on Amazon

If you have yet to read the Earthshaker series (companion series to Broken Minds), the first two books of Patient Zero, or Broken Minds book one, fear not! All are available at everyday low prices on Amazon. If you are a member of Kindle Unlimited, all of these books are enrolled. Just go to my author page to see what's available!

Happy Reading everyone!

P.S. Just for fun, here is a picture of one of the reasons I didn't write much last year. My newest addition: Merlin who is now just over a year old.

New Series: Broken Minds- Book One Now Available!

    Hi everyone!

Got a bit behind on my blogging, yet again. In case you missed the news, Burn: Broken Minds book one was released back in November. It is currently only 99 cents to purchase, or it is also available on Kindle Unlimited.
Burn was edited by Brittany King and the cover designed by Christian Bentulan. Without them, I wouldn't have nearly as good of a product to offer you, so thanks just seem inadequate. I love working with both Brittany and Christian, they are so open and willing to help me bring my books to life.
Burn is the first book of the Broken Minds series. This series follows directly after the Earthshaker series, and some familiar characters show up. However, Burn follows a different group of people with special abilities.

Fire has always been a part of Brennan’s life. His parents were lost to the flames when he was a child. As an adult, he made it his duty to quell them, becoming a firefighter. His life has always revolved around the scorching flames.

When an arsonist strikes his town, Brennan begins to question whether he might be the cause. So he calls an old ally, Jade, for help. After all, she saved him once before.

After three years of separation, Jade has never forgotten the boy with the power of fire. She also remembers the strange feeling she got from him when they first met. A feeling that told her she wouldn’t be able to assist him on her own. Instead, she contacts her other friends… friends who also have special powers.

Tray and Laurie have just come from their own adventure: meeting the Earthshaker. Now, they must figure out how best to help Brennan, and determine if he is the true cause of the fires.

Or if something darker—and more familiar—is at work.

Happy Reading!

Soul Warriors vs Witches + Earthshaker giveaway!

Hi everyone!

I wanted to let you all know that the pre-order is up for Soul Warriors vs Witches. This novel is one I co-authored with Joseph Cautilli and his daughter Marisha. Working on this book was definitely an interesting experience, as it put me out of my comfort zone a bit when it came to story line and structure. I hope you all enjoy it! The release date is October 6, so if you order now, it will be delivered to your kindle that day.  Order now!
When people die, they pass peacefully to final Judgment.

When witches discovered travel stones - a technology that allowed them indirect access to the soul realm - that changed. Now, any soul is at risk of being shredded before it can reach the last rest. Soul Warriors protect those at risk and help them reach their intended end. These warriors are normal people who have no idea that, while they sleep, they are taken to a realm beyond their wildest dreams. When a controversial minister, Reverend George, dies, the Warriors must rally together to protect him. However, his death marks a series of changes beyond their ability to control. Now, the Warriors must fight to survive in a realm they no longer recognize. They have to determine whether the witches are truly after Reverend George, or if they are looking to destroy the Soul Warriors.

In other news, I am hosting a giveaway on Amazon for Earthshaker: Earthshaker series book five. Just click here for your chance to win!

Jason is furious. As is the voice screaming in his head. The Mastermind has taken everything from him. Now, he is out for blood...
Lena wants to help him find justice, but the suddenly hostile Jason only snaps back at her outstretched hand. She is further hindered when he decides to leave on his hunt with the worst possible ally at his side.

When he is pulled in two directions—justice or vengeance—will Jason be able to make the right choice? Or will he continue down his new, dark path?

Happy Reading, Everyone!

More Books Coming Soon!

Hi Everyone!

I have definitely been out of the blogging habit. In fact, I just realized it has been over a year since I even posted anything here! Time flies, I guess.
Anyway, on to the book news:
My most recent releases are Earthshaker (Earthshaker series book 5), and Ground Zero (Patient Zero book 1). Both have been available for quite a while already, so you might be wondering; What's next?
The next book coming out will be Burn. Burn is a story that starts right after the end of Earthshaker, but you don't necessarily have to read Earthshaker to know what's happening. It is the beginning of a new series that follows a group of people introduced in Earthshaker. Those people are: Tray- a man with telekinetic powers. Laurie- a woman with empathic abilities, Jade- a telepathic woman, Cole and Cade- brothers who share the ability to read objects and see through people's eyes, or read their thoughts, and Rae- a woman with strong empathic abilities, who can affect emotions of people around her, and also help to lessen physical pain.
In Burn, these people all come together to help Brennan, a pyrokinetic man, who is having some difficulty in controlling his power. He is questioning whether he is the cause of several arson fires in his city.
Burn is nearing completion, and I hope to be able to share a pre-order link and cover with you soon!
The next book I am working on is Patient Zero book 2- working title: Countdown to Zero. This is the follow-up to Ground Zero, and continues the story of Zero and her friends who are doing their best to not only survive the zombie apocalypse, but also to find some way to end it. This is a work in progress, and I still have quite a lot of work to do, so I'm uncertain as to a time line for completion. I am hoping it will be soon.
The final book I have to share for now is one I co-authored with Joseph and Marisha Cautilli a few years ago. I am uncertain when it is slated for publication, but I believe it will be soon. The title is: Soul Warriors vs Witches: A Dreampunk Massacre. This book took me a bit out of my comfort zone in the style of writing, but I think it turned out to be kind of a cool book. I'll share a link as soon as I have one.
   Happy Reading everyone!

Zombies, Cats, and Fire... Oh My!

Hi everyone!

I know it's been a while again, but it's been a bit busy lately. However, I am happy to report that Ground Zero is now available in both paperback and kindle formats. A huge thank you to Christian Bentulan for the amazing cover!

Now, the main reason I have been having a hard time lately is that I lost my cat CJ a few weeks ago.
It hit me hard. I've had her since she was about six weeks old, and I was nineteen. She's been around nearly half my life, so losing her so suddenly was hard. It made concentrating on anything difficult for a while. Just over a week after that, my cat Tracker broke his leg, and is currently on cage rest at the vet where I work after having surgery to repair the limb. Less than a week later, one of our newer arrivals to the farm, Stanley, came up positive for FIV (feline aids). Thankfully, for now, he will be able to live his life. At least until some illness hits that his compromised immune system can't handle. I know. Probably more information than you wanted, but all of this led up to me doing almost no writing for the last month or so.

Thankfully, I am finally starting to feel a bit better about things, and am now back to work on Burn. For those who have read the Earthshaker series, some of the characters in Burn will be familiar. This is the first book in the Earthshaker companion series (series name TBD), and will include both old and new characters. It will follow its own story as well, so new readers will be able to enjoy it as much as those who've read all five of the Earthshaker books.
I guess that's all the news I have for now. Hope you're all having a fabulous day!

    Happy Reading!
